H&S in heat is not easy without sweating. Transpiration increases, temperature rises, work safety decreases dramatically. On the one hand, personal protection equipment (PPE) provides protection against heat, but on the other leads to increased exhaustion. The consequences are loss of performance and health problems. To guarantee work safety PPE should always be worn in combination with cooling clothes such as cooling vest or cool shirt.
So, when transpiration is significantly reduced, the health and safety of workers at hot workplaces and for fire fighters is no longer at risk. Particularly in summer when temperatures rise, sweating under PPE poses an additional problem for people’s health and leads to loss of performance and an increased risk of accidents.
Even in offices without air-conditioning systems, the cooling vest or cool shirt provides excellent heat protection and helps to improve concentration and performance. Right there, where noses turn up to sweat.

No need to sweat till you drop! Fight exhaustion by cooling clothes such as cooling vest or cool shirt, and also with cooling caps, bandanas and neckbands.
E.COOLINE is a unique cooling system, which mimics the natural climate control of the body and thus prevents loss of performance and concentration by heat and reduces health impacts by heat.
In high temperatures, our cardiovascular systems run at maximum speed because the body suffers from loss of fluids and heat stress. Performance and concentration significantly decrease.
Employees are often not sufficiently protected against the impacts of heat. On the contrary! According to scientific studies, already 1.5-2% of fluid loss lead to a loss of performance of 4%. A study carried out by Wuppertal University together with the German Federal Highway Institute determined that at 37°C concentration was already reduced by 32%. Aggressiveness rises, the number of accidents increases. The continuously high heart frequency due to maximum thermoregulation of the body and associated sweating and exhaustion add to this situation. H&S at the workplace is different.

Concentration and performance are extremely important for the health and life quality of employees. Just in times of demographic change, good and healthy employees will guarantee the continuous success of companies. If accidents occur, however, accumulated heat together with high increase of body temperature may lead to heat stroke or even the failure of vital organs. The mechanics of Formula 1 are confronted with similar problems as 3.5 million employees in Germany and millions more worldwide.
With appropriate cooling these effect can be prevented. In the YouTube video, Lotus F1 Race Manager Paul Seaby demonstrates what can be done with the use of cool shirt, arm coolers and helmet inlay.
Workplaces with temperatures exceeding 26°C or even 37°C are found in many facilities, mainly in steel mills or plastics factories but also in many other areas.
E.COOLINE was already successfully tested in most of these working areas: in the automotive industry, foundries, steel mills, glass factories or at construction sites.
In all situations, E.COOLINE helped to keep the body temperatures of the test subjects at normal physiological level, i.e. between 28-32°C. In contrast to no cooling, the temperature was decreased by 6°C.

Analysis of heat stress at the workplace – automotive
Analysis of heat stress at the workplace – glass manufacturer
Safety-Report 2014
The worker with cooling on head and upper body achieved temperatures as low as in normal ambient temperatures. For the same worker without cooling the analysis determined +6.6°C. The temperature measured significantly exceeds the maximum value for H&S and the worker suffers from heat stress.
Permanent heat stress may lead to health problems and result in reduced productivity.
Recent results of an online survey on heat at the workplace
Increased accident rates at work and more downtime caused by heat are just two of many alarming results obtained in a recent online survey on heat at the workplace with 88 companies employing a total staff of about 640 000. The figures clearly outline the workplace situation at temperatures exceeding 26°C or even 37°C. According to German BAuA (Federal Institute for Occupational Safety & Health), about 3.7 Mio. employees in Germany are sweating. Increasing temperatures and the UN Climate Report predicting more than 100% of additional hot days by 2020 cast their shadows.

There are world champions who also save lives.
Fire fighters Joachim Posanz and Alexander Meyer of the Göttingen fire brigade combine both:
Each year they fight fires to save lives and each year they participate in professional championships to fight for the title of world’s toughest firefighter. Since 2010, the title of „Toughest Firefighter Alive“ has continuously been won by German firefighters.
Both world champion Joachim Posanz and Alexander Meyer, European and world vice champion, agree that the titles are alone to be attributed to E.COOLINE!
This year, the tile defense with E.COOLINE will be at Interschutz 2015 from 8. - 13. in Hannover, Germany.

High temperatures demand high performance from our cardiovascular systems because our bodies suffer from loss of liquid and heat.
Therefore, particularly elder employees or employees with cardiovascular problems are affected by heat. They often do not drink enough. Moreover, in elder people the ability to sweat has decreased and consequently their bodies are no longer able to easily release heat.
Both can lead to heat accumulation with a high increase of the body temperature what results in heat stroke or failure of vital organs. Appropriate cooling helps to prevent these accidents.
